Forever Fridays

Forever Fridays is my planned handmade clothes and accessories business. I knit, sew and customise clothing for fun, and intend to sell random handmade or customised one-offs that are like me: unconventional, quirky, unusual and unpredicable.

The name just popped into my head the day my life in secure paid employment ended. I thought: 'no more 9 to 5, no more stiffling routine, it will be a roller-coaster ride, but...I will have Forever Fridays and no more Mondays!', meaning that I will always have this soaring feeling I used to get on a Friday afternoon when I switched off the computer and started my weekend!

At present, I am attending the Women's Enterprise and Vocational Education (Weave) course in Belfast on setting up a craft business, and I am having a blast. Coming from a purely academic background, this course will give me much needed practical and hands-on skills to set up my own business.
